Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Change light bulbs and perform preventive maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch‑up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC in guest rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool, and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and preventive maintenance on exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately investigate alarms to determine location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks/jobs assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Clean exterior parking lot and remove trash from receptacles.
• Execute minor landscaping tasks such as pulling weeds between lawn servicing dates.
• Assist housekeeping in maintaining public areas of the hotel.
• Assist with guest transportation when the property has shuttle service.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks identified in the CORE program and record completed work.
• Maintain sufficient stock of mechanical items to ensure timely completion of work.
• Advise the General Manager of equipment or supplies needed and properly maintain the building.
• Assist breakfast area with the following tasks:
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service‑oriented manner.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
• Support all food‑service areas as necessary, including washing dishes by hand or in a dishwashing machine, restocking dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans, sweeping and mopping floors, washing work tables and walls, rinsing refrigerators and meat blocks, and moving trash and garbage to designated areas.

Stand and walk 90% of the workday; lift and carry up to 65 lbs.; bend and stoop as required. Work is performed indoors in a well‑ventilated area.
