Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Reports to:
Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Tech position is responsible for all aspects of equipment readiness and maintenance for plant operations. This includes ensuring repair, upkeep, and maintenance of all facility equipment as well as overseeing all maintenance processes and procedures.
Duties / Responsibilities:- Plans and executes the preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.
- Attends to break downs, diagnose faults, and oversees equipment improvements and time-critical repair.
- Manges spare parts inventory.
- Oversee the continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation through routine inspections.
- Create, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance program of production including inspection of plant equipment and inventory for replenishing parts.
- Maintain documentation, machine history, and all other appropriate documentation for production equipment, including or if necessary, requesting replacement for any tools/equipment.
Required:
- Ability to create and follow a routine maintenance schedule
- Electrical experience including but not limited to three-phase and single-phase power and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) skills.
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Ability to trouble shoot machinery, equipment, and tools – mechanically inclined
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Ability to solve problems quickly and safely using sound judgement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including exposure to Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 5 years of maintenance experience preferred
- Proven mechanical & electrical aptitude/passion
