About the job Custodian / Day Porter / Floor Technician
Location: Jackson, TN 38301
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Position OverviewV24 Works is currently hiring reliable and motivated individuals for Custodian, Day Porter, and Floor Technician positions in Jackson, Tennessee.
These positions are responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and professional facilities. Successful candidates will perform a variety of cleaning, sanitation, floor care, and facility support tasks while providing excellent service to our clients.
Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, facility maintenance, or floor care experience is preferred but not required.
General Cleaning- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Empty trash and recycling containers
- Dust and clean offices, breakrooms, and common areas
- Restock paper products and cleaning supplies
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the facility
- Monitor and maintain facility cleanliness during business hours
- Respond to spills and service requests
- Maintain high-traffic areas throughout the day
- Provide light facility support as needed
- Strip and wax floors
- Buff and burnish hard floor surfaces
- Shampoo and extract carpets
- Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other floor care equipment
- Maintain floor care equipment and supplies
- Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, or floor care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete I-9 Employment Verification
- Background screening may be required based on client requirements
- Competitive Pay ($16.00 – $20.00 per hour)
