Qualifications- Experience equivalent to one year of custodial work.
- Valid driver’s license.
Under general supervision, performs custodial work of moderate difficulty and related tasks. This lead-level classification in the TSP Custodial Worker series may be assigned to any shift and is responsible for leading and training TSP custodial workers on cleaning and custodial tasks. This class differs from the TSP Park Custodial Worker class, which performs routine custodial services without staff leadership, and from the TSP Custodial Supervisor class, which supervises a staff of custodial workers.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize cabins, recreation hall, park office, campground bathhouses and public restrooms.
- Operate custodial equipment such as washing machines, dryers, vacuums, and move furniture as needed for cleaning.
- Utilize cleaning supplies, including bleach, disinfectants, and polishers.
- Remove trash from the grounds surrounding the facilities.
- Report repairs or supplies needed in the facilities and perform light maintenance of equipment.
- Knowledge of principles, equipment, and chemicals involved in cleaning work.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas.
- Ability to manage own time and the time of others.
- Ability to teach others how to perform tasks.
- Ability to monitor and assess performance of self or others to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Ability to troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors in equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, or other custodial equipment.
