Maintenance Manager
Aerotek is hiring a Maintenance Manager for a manufacturing company located in Jackson, TN. This position is a direct hire opportunity offering $110k-$130k salary.
Lead a high-performing maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with food-grade standards. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–20 maintenance technicians across multiple shifts.
- Build and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve uptime and equipment reliability.
- Provide direction on troubleshooting, repairs, and root-cause analysis for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Partner with Quality to implement and maintain ISO standards, GMP practices, and sanitation-related maintenance protocols.
- Support or lead small-to-mid-scale capex initiatives, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and equipment performance using Lean/5S methodologies.
- Oversee external service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of work.
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of maintenance leadership experience in addition to previous technical hands-on experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or food-grade manufacturing standards.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Safety.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, extrusion, or similar continuous-process environments.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems, data-driven maintenance planning, and KPI tracking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree is a plus but not required with experience.
- Exposure to capital projects, equipment installations, or facility upgrades.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or reliability-centered maintenance experience strongly preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled, well-lit manufacturing facility. While some areas may be loud, hearing protection is provided. Due to the nature of the business, hair nets and beard nets may be required. Steel toes are mandatory in all production areas. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, with all hands expected to help where needed.

Pay and Benefits
