Maintenance Director | Ahava Healthcare

Reports to the Administrator or Regional Maintenance Director; directs other staff within the Maintenance Department. - Mission:
Owns the comprehensive oversight of facility maintenance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe and operational skilled nursing environment.
- Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the community remains compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, specifically regarding Life Safety Code compliance. - Policy Management:
Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions at least annually for necessary revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator. - Financial Oversight:
Prepare and monitor operating and staffing budgets for the maintenance department on a monthly basis. - Staff Leadership:
Direct other staff within the Maintenance Department and oversee their work ethic and performance. - Administrative Support:
Perform any related tasks assigned by the Administrator or Regional Maintenance Director as needed.
- Background:
Director level. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with core domain knowledge in building maintenance and safety specific to facility operations. - Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within a maintenance or plant-related position. - Skills:
Expertise in Life Safety Code compliance; proficient in budget preparation and monitoring; strong capabilities in staff supervision and direction; ability to review and update policies and procedures; adherence to regulatory guidelines. - Bonus:
Previous experience as a Maintenance Director in long-term care is preferred, coupled with a strong ability to understand and follow regulations.
