General Labor, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Inspect equipment daily, make minor adjustments, and request repairs in writing to the mechanic.
- Load, unload, re-arrange, and maneuver heavy duty forklift.
- Read stock numbers on a computer screen and verify the stock number and vehicle information (Make/Model, Color) directly from vehicle before loading onto forks.
- Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
- Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
USD 22.02 - 33.08 per hour
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment required.
- Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
- Basic computer and data entry skills required.
- Must pass OSHA forklift/heavy equipment training and certification program, with re-certification required every 3 years.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, crouch and climb.
- Manual dexterity.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Hourly base pay rate is $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
BenefitsEmployees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
