Maintenance Worker - Bolles School - Custodial

Job Description

The Maintenance Worker reports to Facility Operations, receives work orders or directions

Key responsibilities:

monitor filter room for inventory, changing weekly & monthly filters on select units, changing ceiling tiles when needed, light bulbs and small maintenance duties - reporting any issues to Asst Facility Director

Work Hours:

Monday-Friday 2pm - 10:30 pm

Job Responsibilities

* Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.

* Repairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.

* Inspects assigned area on a routine basis and performs maintenance as needed to keep facility in functioning and serviceable condition.

* Completes daily, weekly, or monthly checklists of pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance procedures.

* Reports on any major maintenance need and recommends corrective action as appropriate.

* Demonstrates efficient and safe use of equipment and tools.

* Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to component and departmental training commitments.

* • Work Hours Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm but must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays

* Prior administrative experience preferred

* Have solid understanding of Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint,and Excel

* Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

* Demonstrates strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

* This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, extended walking and standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 25 lbs. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

* Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

* Previous maintenance experience preferred

* Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

* Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

* Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

* High school diploma, GED or higher

* Valid Driver's License
