Collision Detailer​/Porter

Job Overview

Gerber Collision & Glass seeks a Porter to complement quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to delivery. The role maintains appearance and cleanliness of shop, office facilities, and parking lots while ensuring consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior: empty garbage cans, clean floors, dust countertops and work areas.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of production area: empty waste cans, sweep floors, dispose of unwanted vehicle parts, arrange tools and equipment in proper location.
• Maintain parking lots/grounds neat and orderly; shovel sidewalks as needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

High School diploma / GED preferred. Automotive experience preferred.

• Age 18 or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clear close vision required.

• Trustworthy and reliable.
• Willingness to learn.

• Pulling/pushing, carrying; walking 5+ minutes.
• Sitting/standing 5+ minutes.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl 1+ minute.
• Operate a motor vehicle.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Withstand exposure to working near moving mechanical parts.
