Facilities Technician, Plant Facilities Department, Days, Baptist Medical Center
Facilities Technician ensures the safe and efficient operation of hospital facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, and medical equipment to meet regulatory standards. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively to support a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

As a Facilities Technician You Will Be Responsible For- General maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems required to support healthcare buildings.
- Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Takes reading and keeps records; responds to customer complaints.
- Perform corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Regular scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Completion of work orders and knowledge of applicable codes.
- In-depth service of complex equipment such as pumps, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and many types of hospital equipment.
- Broad background of equipment and systems; willingness to learn unique systems used to support healthcare.
- 3-5 years industrial experience.
- General maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems for healthcare buildings.
- Performing preventive maintenance as assigned.
- Taking readings and keeping records.
- Responding to customer complaints.
- Healthcare and large facility experience.
