IEM is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Jacksonville facilities and will report into the Maintenance Manager.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician manages building and equipment maintenance schedules. Facilities Maintenance Technician responsibilities include scheduling preventative maintenance, responding to urgent maintenance calls and maintaining the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Please note:
This position requires 100% in‑office presence in our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work. Shift hours are from 6am – 2:30pm ET.
- Ensures that all safety equipment (Fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc.) are kept updated, meeting current building codes and in proper working order.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on buildings, and safety and service equipment.
- Maintains records on company vehicles and insures proper maintenance is performed.
- Maintains records on equipment and facilities of maintenance performed by other qualified trades persons.
- Coordinates annual maintenance and inspection of engine generator.
- Establish and maintain maintenance procedures for facility fabrication and assembly equipment.
- Establish and maintain procedures for disposal of shop items and equipment waste of environmentally sensitive materials such as waste oil, shop rags, etc…
- Ensures facility equipment is installed and maintained in a safe manner.
- Manage janitorial and cleaning services.
- Track and manage scrap materials and recycling.
- Perform other related duties which may be required by supervisor.
- 4-6 Years in Facilities Management.
- Forklift certified and training authorized.
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Organization skills including attention to detail, multitasking, and time management.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication ckills.
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!

Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.

Ability to see small or detailed items.

Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
