Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees a skilled trades team, ensuring all facility systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to production. This position works a primary shift of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and requires on-call availability after hours and weekends for emergency support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively support building and facilities maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work to maintenance staff, ensuring productivity and high-quality results.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Inspect and verify completed work to ensure accuracy and equipment reliability.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of critical facility equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper availability of materials, tools, and supplies; coordinate purchasing as needed.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to drive skill development and performance.
- Prepare cost estimates for projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, including work orders, maintenance logs, and payroll timekeeping.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to support production goals.
Pay Rate: $33.17 - $35.16 Per HR
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in building maintenance or skilled trades, including strong plumbing experience (required).
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, with a specialty in plumbing preferred.
- Experience with CMMS/work order systems; understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices in an industrial environment.
- Ability to work extended hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
