Under the supervision and direction of a store manager with knowledge of the facility, this team member performs repairs and maintenance on store property that do not require a license or permit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Troubleshooting basic facility-related problems such as clearing blocked plumbing lines, replacing cracked pipes, inspecting panel boxes, replacing light bulbs, replacing/repairing damaged or worn materials, hardware, etc.
- Ensuring the facility is a safe environment (no tools, ladders, equipment left unattended near public)
- Interior and exterior painting
- Hanging/mounting signs and adjusting lighting
- Specialized cleaning of refrigeration evaporators utilizing written instructions provided by the Director of Meat Operations
- Basic equipment repair or replacement – including preventative maintenance – as instructed by department managers
- Purchases or rents supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects.
- Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls, replaces air filters
- Paints interior and exterior walls.
- Utilizing Trello to prioritize tasks and report task completion (upload photos, when appropriate)
- Reporting problems to superiors
Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or GED and five (5) years building maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS- Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of public buildings.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Skill in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The average weekly workload may range from 10 - 25 hours, as this is a part time position.
