Responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant
:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems
Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
Qualifications for a Maintenance Assistant
:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience with facilities maintenance and repair; including minor drywall repair, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, hand tool operation
- Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
- Own a personal vehicle to enable responding to emergency call ins if needed.
