Housekeeping Supervisor

Leads a work force of housekeepers in various locations and performs custodial duties in assigned locations.

Responsible for inspection of assigned work areas(s) to ensure proper cleanliness, inventory of supplies, refreshments, and amenities.

Responsible for initial on-the-job training of new housekeepers in the performance of their assigned duties and continue with any on-going training program.

Responsible for maintaining appropriate records on housekeeping, rooms, maintenance, and common area work while representing management in leading a work force of housekeepers in several locations.

Responsible to perform a variety of custodial duties, to include, but not limited to; making beds, cleaning common areas and individual rooms, scrubbing private and public bathrooms, separating trash (example: following the state law on proper disposal of aluminum cans/paper), mopping and waxing floors and other related custodial duties.

Responsible for reporting all maintenance requirements noted during the work shift and will follow up by reporting repairs as they are completed and will be responsible for instructing all subordinate employees to report maintenance requirements

Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

MISSION ESSENTIAL STATUS:
This position is designated 'Mission Essential'. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (nature or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
