Full Time Second Shift Custodian – Jaffrey Grade School
Starting Date: Immediately
The Jaffrey‑Rindge Cooperative School District is seeking a full‑time second‑shift custodian for the Jaffrey Grade School campus. The custodian works Monday through Friday from 2:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. during the school year and from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. during summer months. Occasionally, the role may require assignments at other district campuses.
Responsibilities include general cleaning and minor maintenance of all areas to maintain a safe and sanitary facility for students and staff. The district uses green cleaning materials, which all custodians are trained to handle.
- Provide a professional and courteous attitude at all times toward students, staff, and the public.
- Learn and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision.
- Initiate routine cleaning and minor repairs with fine attention to detail.
- Dress appropriately.
- Remain flexible and address unexpected requests promptly.
- Send and receive emails.
- Receive, complete, and enter work orders, and check the calendar via Master Library.
Benefits and Compensation:
This position is eligible for benefits. Pay is based on the Jaffrey‑Rindge Support Staff Association wage schedule.
- High school diploma or trade school degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa in the United States required.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 lbs.; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed. Approximately 5% sitting, 70% walking, and 25% standing. Work may involve temperature extremes but is generally hazard‑free.
