Maintenance Technician

Millipore Sigma is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for our biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing site. In this overnight weekend role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. You'll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, complete work orders in our CMMS, and follow GMP, safety, and SOP requirements. Working in a collaborative, science-driven environment, you will support continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and reliability initiatives that directly impact global health.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and facility systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic).
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize downtime on production lines and support utilities.
• Conduct routine inspections, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain GMP-compliant operations.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and follow SOPs, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and EHS teams to prioritize and complete work orders.
• Support installation, startup, and qualification of new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency maintenance calls during overnight weekend shifts.
• Identify and recommend reliability improvements and spare parts needs.
