Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks and projects as required. A Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. You will find meaningful work in this role with the opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact every day!

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance of any buildings on the grounds of Heritage Ministries such as power, water and electrical systems.
  • Responsible for the general appearance of buildings and grounds. May have to work outside around plants such as poison ivy, sumac, and oak.
  • Monitors buildings for resident, employee, and visitor safety. Must notify supervisor of any potential problem.
  • May be responsible to respond to emergencies and must take appropriate action in the case of maintenance emergencies.
  • Repairs and maintains equipment when needed. Assists with regular preventative maintenance on all equipment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED/TASC required.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in all or some disciplines of construction carpentry, masonry, painting, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergencies.
  • Ability to lift over 60 pounds, stand, walk, sit, bend, and twist.
  • Have basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and volunteers.
