Are you excited about this Maintenance Engineer I job?The successful job candidate will provide cleaning, repair, and upkeep to assigned county buildings and grounds such as general cleaning, floor maintenance, windows, snow and ice removal, furniture moving, grounds maintenance, perform semi-skilled repairs on plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and heat pumps as well as upkeep on controls, temperatures, minor electrical and lighting repairs, ballast replacement, upkeep on machinery and equipment, as well as maintain records of completed work and work schedules.
Must have ability to work on own and be a self-starter when performing job tasks. Physical requirements and environment for this position are similar to that expected in a typical custodian position, including sitting, standing, bending, stretching, stooping, use of ladders, balancing, crouching, that could involve some combination of these and generally involves lifting up to 50 pounds or moderately heavy objects and materials.
