Description
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician who will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of SHINE facilities located in Janesville, WI. The position is responsible for maintenance of buildings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, EHS concerns, and radioactive containment equipment. The Technician responds to repair calls from the operations department in support of therapeutic production operations, and completes preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in the CMMS program (e‑maint).
All work is performed in a cGMP environment.
Base salary range: $33.00–$35.00 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation package. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties And Responsibilities- Maintain facility equipment by performing routine inspections and servicing of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting, including replacing filters, belts and worn parts to prevent breakdowns.
- Oversee BAS and facility monitoring systems to detect and resolve operational issues.
- Provide maintenance support to the Therapeutics Operations team by promptly addressing service requests and resolving facility‑related issues that impact operations.
- Perform maintenance and ensure operational reliability of radioactive hot cell equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with EHS and Radiation Protection protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage and complete corrective maintenance and project work in a timely and effective manner to support operational continuity.
- Support production operations by being on‑call one week per month for timely response to line repair requests.
- 1‑5 years in a facilities maintenance role
- HVAC experience with package units, exhaust fans, and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Familiarity with working in a cGMP environment, specifically in clean rooms
- Experience working in and around radiation areas is preferred
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office suite
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
- Moderate physical activity; handling of average‑weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Fine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring basic safety precautions.
