Position Summary:

Housekeeping team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing clinical and office areas while following established infection-control, safety, and sanitation procedures. Housekeeping will also ensure that linens, towels, gowns, and other washable items are properly collected, cleaned, dried, folded, stored, and distributed throughout the facility

Responsibilities

Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, gowns, and other laundry items.

Follow appropriate cleaning and disinfection procedures, particularly in patient-care areas.

Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility policies and applicable safety requirements.

Restock paper products, cleaning supplies, and other necessary materials.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean surfaces, fixtures, windows, and other areas as assigned.

Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, chairs, and other frequently used areas.

Maintain housekeeping equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment.

Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies according to manufacturer instructions and workplace policies.

Follow infection-prevention, OSHA, and workplace safety guidelines.

Report spills, maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly.

Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Perform additional housekeeping and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred, particularly in a healthcare setting.

Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Dependable, punctual, and professional.

Excellent written and verbal command of English.

Ability to safely use cleaning products and housekeeping equipment

Excellent customer service skills and ability to be compassionate.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the workday.

Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as required.

Education and

Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree or higher a plus.
