Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time Janitor positions in the Jerome School District.

125 4th Avenue West, Jerome, . Other school district sites are also available. Applications are accepted online only.

Maintains cleanliness and order in school buildings through routine and specialized cleaning tasks.

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts, wipes, and mops floors using approved methods.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and returns them to their correct positions.
• Cleans assigned areas using specified materials and equipment; sanitizes all surfaces following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Identifies areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs duties in accordance with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refines floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
