Custodian; PM Shift

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Custodian for our PM shift to maintain a clean, organized, functional, and secure building at our Jersey City office. Reports to the Senior Workplace Manager. Shift schedule is Monday‑Friday, 2pm‑10:30pm. The role requires onsite presence five days per week.

• Perform general custodial duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of events and meetings.
• Work with Facilities, Workplace, and Operations to ensure office needs are met.
• Respond to tickets and requests from other departments.
• Read and interpret chemical SDS (Safety Data Sheet).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks during scheduled shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with inventory evaluation of supplies.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to adjust to schedule/requirement changes.

• Computer use: typing, mouse work, extended computer use.
• Hand use: regular hand use for various tasks.
• Hearing: ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
• Lifting and carrying: lift, carry, and move materials up to 25lb.
• Phone answering: talk on phone and text, manual dexterity to operate both efficiently.
• Sitting or standing: ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Hourly rate: $19, with adjustments based on location, experience, and skill set.
• Shift 2 workers eligible for an additional $1/hr premium.
