WhatYou'll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our community operates seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light fixtures, replacing filters, and addressing general wear and tear.
- Safely using hand and power tools to complete various tasks.
- Moving furniture, boxes, maintenance supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Responding quickly and effectively to maintenance emergencies.
- Maintaining clean, safe, and hazard-free walking and working areas.
- Sweeping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing to complete repetitive tasks safely.
- Working overhead and in confined spaces to address maintenance needs.
- Handling heavier items with assistance or appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Climbing ladders or step stools where permitted and trained.
- Identifying and addressing safety hazards to ensure a secure environment.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and push/pull up to 75–100 pounds of rolling equipment or supplies using safe body mechanics.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- A commitment to safety and the ability to distinguish potential hazards.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to respond promptly to emergencies.
