Overview
What does it mean to be a part of the Order Selection team?
In this fast-paced role, you are the boots on the ground and responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct assigned locations. You will operate motorized equipment including Electric Pallet Jacks while ensuring that you safely and accurately move product within the warehouse.

Starting pay: $21.00/hour. Other compensation details include:
- Weekend Shift Differential - $2.00/hr
- Overnight Differential - $1.25/hr
- Freezer Premium - $2.00/hr
- Set scheduled pay increases: $1.00/hour after 1 year; $1.50/hour after 2 years
- Weekly pay

Position PurposeResponsible for having a strong understanding of the equipment used, pick locations, pallet building, productivity measures and safety procedures.
Essential Functions and Duties- Inspect assigned jack for safety issues
- Enter the proper information into the productivity measure
- Identify the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance with the order
- Pick the correct item and quantity, checking UPCs or item descriptions
- Place pick labels on the side of the cases
- Correctly identify Master Case locations
- Identify and immediately report mislocated products
- Shrink wrap and label with correct truck, stop and other required information
- Stage pallets in the appropriate bay
- Listen for first and last call and obtain all out-of-stocks in a timely manner
- Keep area clean and debris-free
- Immediately inform a foreman, supervisor or manager of any potential safety threats
- Obtain aisle-cleaning assignment
- Operate pallet jack/push cart safely and efficiently
- Report any violation of company policy to supervisor or lead
- Build a stable and well-cubed pallet
- Park and recharge pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of shift
- Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
- Selector functions completed in accordance with company standards and safety regulations
- Effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management; assistance provided as needed
- Deadlines met
Required knowledge:
Understanding of safety guidelines
Experience:
Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required; understanding of WMS preferred but not required. Good judgment is required as supervision may not always be immediately available.
- Ability to select at established minimum rate for department
- Astute, close attention to detail
- Understand and follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in respective areas: grocery, repack, cooler/freezer
- Understand procedures in other warehouse areas for a broader understanding of all processes
