Cleaning Crew Team Lead

Green Kitchen Concepts is a franchise of Filta Environmental Kitchen Solutions — a nationally recognized leader in commercial kitchen services. Our Filta Clean division provides on-site, professional deep cleaning for some of the busiest commercial kitchens in the Chicagoland area. We’re building our Filta Clean team from the ground up, and we’re looking for the right person to help lead it.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. The person we hire today has a direct path to grow into a leader of this entire business line as we expand.

As a Filta Clean Team Lead, you’ll take ownership of overnight commercial kitchen cleaning jobs at restaurants, venues, hospitals, and other high-volume food service operations across the Chicagoland area. You’ll drive to job sites, lead a crew of 3–5 technicians, and deliver a thorough, professional clean every time — on schedule, on standard, and without excuses.

This is a player-coach role. You are not just directing — you are working. Every night, you’re side by side with your crew, sleeves rolled up, doing the job. The title says Lead, but the work says hands‑on. If you’re looking to stand back and delegate, this is not the role for you. If you lead by example and aren’t afraid to get dirty, keep reading.

This is a fast‑paced, physically demanding position. Kitchens don’t stop being busy until late, and our work begins when theirs ends.

Shift: Primarily overnight, approximately 9 PM – 5 AM (variable by job)

Schedule: Full-time | Shifts vary based on client needs

• Lead a crew of 3–5 Filta Clean technicians on nightly job sites — and work right alongside them
• Operate and transport company equipment via cargo van or box truck (no CDL required)
• Personally perform professional deep cleaning of commercial kitchen equipment, surfaces, and appliances — this is a hands‑on role, not a supervisory‑only position
• Ensure jobs are completed to Filta quality standards and on time
• Communicate clearly with your crew and report job status to management
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and vehicle cleanliness
• Hold yourself and your team to high safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Complete job documentation and communicate any site issues

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lead a small crew and hold people accountable
• Strong work ethic — you show up, you follow through, you take pride in the work
• Physical stamina for overnight, hands‑on work in commercial kitchen environments
• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Experience in commercial kitchen operations, high‑volume restaurant work, or professional cleaning services
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment (fryers, hoods, ovens, etc.)
• Prior crew lead, team lead, or supervisory experience
• Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, or OSHA cleaning standards

• $24–$30/hr + Performance bonus - depending on experience
