Job Summary2nd Shift: This position is critical to working in conjunction with maintenance mechanics to ensure efficiency during line set‑ups and installs. Maintains electrical control systems including Servo systems, OITs, PLCs, loop controllers, sensors, , vision systems, drives, labelers, lasers, ink‑jet printers, and robotics by checking power and wiring, performing power‑up procedures, firing laser, ensuring code printing, installing modules, servicing equipment, and correcting any issues.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in industrial settings.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using testing devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address electrical issues.
- Install and connect wiring, outlets, and switches following electrical codes.
- Understand device, wiring sizing, and fill capacity per NEC and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior electrical maintenance staff.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and repairs.
- Commission, program, and diagnose motion systems; read/write PLC programming code.
- Operate and troubleshoot machine vision systems and assist training of vision techs.
- Maintain software and hardware for control/data systems, manage libraries, and keep licensing updated.
- Manage material handling equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet jacks.
- Use measuring devices (micrometers, gauges) and perform calibration as needed.
- Operate, maintain, repair, clean, and store power tools and equipment safely.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Mechanics on problem solving and equipment set‑up.
- Ensure adherence to PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, rules, and standards.
- Perform overtime, weekend work, and other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
- Associate’s Degree in a related field and/or 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
- Basic mathematical skills, intermediate computer skills, and ability to perform more complex computer tasks.
- Full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Strong reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- High standard of report writing and ability to present information effectively.
- Independence and teamwork capabilities, excellent time‑management, creativity, and sound judgment.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and set challenging goals.
- Bonus:
Ability to read and edit PLC programming, navigate vision inspection systems, and working knowledge of robotics.
- Hourly rate: $27.27–$30.68 hourly plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
