Position Overview:
The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Justice Services is seeking a detail oriented and service focused Building/Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. Versatile Building Maintenance Technician skilled in performing a wide range of semi‑skilled repair and facility upkeep tasks. Experienced in minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and small equipment repair. Adept at installing office furniture and partitions, repairing doors and windows, replacing carpet tiles, patching drywall and ceiling tiles, and servicing systems such as humidifiers, water detection units, and reverse osmosis water systems.
Supports HVAC efficiency through routine filter changes and general maintenance. Proficient with hand and power tools and capable of completing nonskilled building and grounds work, including snow removal. Provides comprehensive janitorial services, floor care, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and lunchroom cleaning to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment. Conducts regular inspections to identify hazards, security concerns, or property damage.
