Role summary:
The Senior Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing comprehensive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and compliance of food equipment and related facilities. This role involves diagnosing issues using technical manuals, managing parts inventory, and overseeing contractors to maintain quality standards. The position includes training and mentoring less-experienced associates, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
The Senior Technician supports operational continuity through timely issue resolution and contributes to continuous improvement by collaborating with various stakeholders and upholding company policies and ethical standards.

They coordinate assignments, optimize resources, and implement improvements aligned with business objectives. What you'll do:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Oversee and train less-experienced associates, providing hands‑on instruction and safety training.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct safety checks on machinery and vehicles, addressing hazards and maintaining operational standards.
- Participate in on‑call rotation to support critical business needs outside regular hours.
- Document maintenance activities, expenses, and budget information accurately.
- Proven experience performing maintenance, inspection, and repair of food equipment and related facility systems.
- Proficiency in multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
- Demonstrated capability to train and mentor less-experienced technicians.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with managers, coworkers, and vendors.
