Career Chemical Cleaner – Jonesboro, Arkansas – Trinity Rail

Trinity Industries has been growing for over 85 years and now is offering an opportunity for a safety‑focused, dependable, and team‑minded individual to join our railcar maintenance operations team. This role supports the cleaning process for railcars using chemical cleaning methods, water purging, and blasting equipment to prepare railcars for maintenance and repair work. Responsibilities include ensuring railcars are properly cleaned, equipment maintained, and work completed efficiently in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.

• Purge railcar surfaces using water and/or approved non‑hazardous chemicals.
• Operate hand‑held blasting equipment and other cleaning tools as assigned.
• Maintain, clean, troubleshoot equipment and surrounding work area.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and work instructions while performing essential job duties.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of related work experience in an industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, cleaning, or similar hands‑on environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting as required by the job, working at heights, and working in dark, confined spaces.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety and environmental practices.
• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work full‑time schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as business needs require.
