Surface Welder Technicians – 14/14 Rotation – Remote Camp – Greens Creek Mine

Hecla Mining Company is seeking Surface Welder Technicians to join their Greens Creek Mine on remote Admiralty Island near Juneau, Alaska. The position offers a 14/14 rotation and camp-based accommodations, with duties focused on welding and fabrication in support of heavy mining equipment maintenance. Ideal candidates will have line boring and structural welding experience and be confident working independently in remote environments.

MSHA and safety training are provided during onboarding.

• Ability to weld using various methods and in multiple positions
• Experience with line boring (required) and bucket rebuilding (preferred)
• Ability to follow engineered repair prints
• Relevant welding certifications (list required on resume)
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools
• Capable of conducting mag and dye testing
• Must comply with MSHA, site, and state regulations
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience rebuilding booms, cabs, ROPS, or man baskets
• Proficiency with plasma cutting and prepping components to spec
• Strong safety record and mechanical aptitude for heavy equipment repairs
