Scale Operator

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks and trailers using a computerized scale and accurately record the measurements.
• Inspect and maintain all components of the weigh scale, ensuring it is operational.
• Keep the scale area clear of debris such as snow, rocks, leaves, etc.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide reports as required.
• Identify potential issues and perform light maintenance of the scale and its housing.
• Communicate with management and other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Skill in following verbal and written directions.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Willingness to work long hours in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
