Special Education Teacher - Justice, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact working with students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position at a school near Justice, IL. In this role, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs. • Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with developing and executing IEPs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and support personnel.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

• Develop, review, and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and classroom curriculum.
• Track and report on student progress toward IEP objectives.
• Work closely with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
