Janitor Supervisor - Shiftwork - Kahului Airport, Maui

Position

Department of Transportation, Airports Division – position for supervising janitorial and custodial personnel.

Rotating shift work – all applicants must be available to work evening and weekend shifts.

Supervise a group of janitors and custodial personnel in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and building areas. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervise a crew of 4–6 inmate workers. Oversee janitorial and housekeeping functions of the facility, including maintenance of grounds adjacent to buildings, minor repairs, and simple building maintenance tasks that do not require trade skills, such as moving heavy furniture and equipment, and cleaning places and equipment.

  Experience:
  
  Two (2) years of janitorial or related custodial work such as sweeping, dusting, and building cleaning.
• Supervisory
  
  Experience:
  
  One (1) year of experience including responsibility for scheduling and inspecting subordinates, instructing employees in proper methods of work, maintaining discipline, ensuring safety practices, and keeping records of work activities.
• Driver's License: Valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
• Federal Criminal History Record Check: Must pass a fingerprint‑based criminal history check; free of disqualifying convictions within the past 10 years.
