Immediate vacancy located at the Women’s Community Correctional Center.
ResponsibilitiesSupervises and participates in performing a variety of manual work in groundskeeping as a major work assignment. Supervises the work of a crew in performing manual work in the cleaning, care and maintenance of landscaped grounds and adjacent areas; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: Citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Experience and Training: Two (2) years of full‑time work experience in the care and maintenance of grounds and other landscaped areas, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Knowledge of: Care and cultivation of shrubs, flowers, trees, and lawns; use, care and operation of grounds maintenance equipment such as a power mower, edgers, trimmers, and hand tools.
- Ability to: Assign and supervise the work of others, keep time and attendance records; gain the cooperation of others; understand and follow oral and written instructions; operate and use grounds maintenance equipment and hand tools; perform lifting, carrying and other manual work typical of the class.
- Driver’s License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. This vacancy requires it.
- Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement: Must not have engaged in sexual abuse in any facility, have been convicted of sexual activity in the community, or have been the subject of substantiated allegations of sexual abuse or sexual harassment.
- Other Requirements: Applicants may be subject to drug screening and an intensive background check, with any associated costs the applicant responsible for.
