A role in Maintenance is a great way to get started with KBF. As the supervisor of our Maintenance team you'll meet challenges on a daily basis and be responsible for ensuring the appearance and functionality of the resort meets all LaTour standards. This role is vital to providing guests with a secure and comfortable environment which is key to providing the best hospitality KBF can offer at each of its locations.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Maintenance Supervisor manages a property's facility and grounds maintenance program through planning, supervision of staff, adherence to established standards, and preparation of related reports. This position helps ensure maximum production, safety, quality, and consistency while protecting the company's assets and ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for guests and employees while reporting directly to the General Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment.
- Ensures that maintenance staff are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to perform assigned work in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Communicates regularly and effectively with all staff to ensure clarity regarding expectations and a positive work environment.
- Assists with hiring of maintenance staff.
- Performs general maintenance in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas as assigned.
- Will have a working knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Will have a working knowledge for repairing and troubleshooting carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
- Repairs and installs appliances as needed with minimal supervision.
- Performs maintenance to plumbing such as pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, tubs, etc.
- Prevents and troubleshoots electrical issues on equipment, fixtures, outlets and switches.
- Inspects and performs preventative maintenance in units and resort areas to minimize a negative guest experience.
- Reports, responds to, and repairs safety issues in guest units, buildings, pools, common areas, and equipment.
- Completes all duties assigned and assists technicians with prioritizing their workloads daily.
- Assists in prioritizing work orders and assigns daily tasks to technicians as needed.
- Maintains the appearance of the property by picking trash and debris, responding and mopping up spills, cleaning exterior fixtures, etc. daily.
Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education/Credentials- This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
- EPA Certification
- CPO Certification (or willing to obtain)
This position requires 3-5 years of building maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
A minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience is required.
Other RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's license

The Maintenance Supervisor works both outside in different weather conditions, and will also require work inside in an office environment. Work will require flexibility and the ability to constantly move focus from one task to the next. Hours may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
