Le Jardin Academy is looking for Custodial Associates (Part-time). The Custodian will be assigned tasks and have a flexible schedule. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. PurposeThe Custodial Associate plays an essential role in creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and healthy learning environment on Le Jardin’s campus. By performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and basic upkeep tasks, this position supports the school’s mission of providing a world‑class International Baccalaureate education, ensuring that students, staff and visitors can focus on teaching, learning, and growth in well‑maintained facilities.
Responsibilities- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting operating custodial equipment.
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, lockers, breakroom, concession, and other areas as assigned.
- Clean and sanitize high‑touch surfaces, door knobs, and light switches daily.
- Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and surfaces.
- Strip, wax, buff, and deep‑clean floors as scheduled.
- Wash windows, mirrors, whiteboards, and walls/sills as needed.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of facilities for daily lunch service.
- Restock consumable supplies daily.
- Respond to reactive calls for cleaning and sanitation.
- Participate in periodic deep cleaning during school breaks or as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work in classrooms, gymnasiums, offices, restrooms, and outdoor spaces in courtyards and around buildings.
- Assist with event set‑ups and breakdowns for meetings and special events.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience- One‑year related experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Work independently and frequently without direct supervision.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Ability to drive golf cart and motor vehicle.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to manipulate, handle, grip, and feel objects, utensils, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and twist.
- Frequently required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry items and objects up to 50 pounds, with a minimum of 25 pounds lifted and carried.
- Specific vision ability required: 20/20 vision (corrected or uncorrected).
- Specific hearing ability required: ability to pass a hearing test (corrected or uncorrected).
- Regular exposure to heat and cold.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Required to wear long pants, covered shoes, and school uniform.
- Noise level usually moderate, occasionally loud.
- Daily use of motor vehicle to the preschool facility.
