Janitorial Technician Part‑Time

4-5 hours Monday – Saturday.

Location:

Near 131 and Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo.
Start times: 8:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 6:00 PM on Tuesday, Thursday; after 5:00 PM on Saturday.

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided Service Master products, tools, and procedures
• Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom sanitizing, vacuuming, moving furniture and equipment, and more
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) where required
• Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security systems as required
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive demeanor
• Be flexible and work in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail
• Contribute to a positive work climate by being in uniform, reliable, dependable, and on time
• Demonstrate respect and understanding for co‑workers and customers
• 1–2 years experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus

• Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead and forward
• Must be able to lift and/or carry 25 lbs
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• Ability to transition in and out of vehicles
• Ability to navigate stairs
