Temporary General Labor
This is temporary, general labor in the department of Public Services, assisting where needed. Hours per week may vary and total length of employment may not exceed six months. If you are interested in seasonal work, please complete an application. Applications are available online or in-person at City of Kalamazoo Public Services Department 415 E Stockbridge Ave Kalamazoo, MI 49001 Mon-Fri, 8AM-4:30PM
Work may include any of the following:
- Sweeping
- Moving material
- Raking
- Mowing
- Painting
- Custodial work
- Grounds maintenance
- Sorting and stacking
- Digging
- Pounding
- Loading/unloading
- Tree and brush trimming/removal, or other general labor work as assigned.
May occasionally drive city vehicles.
Essential Qualifications- FOR POSITION ABOVE, all applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Able to work a flexible schedule, in all weather conditions, including:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Possess a valid driver's license
