JOB SCOPE:
Interkal is seeking a Maintenance Technician for light industrial maintenance

Pay:$20.34/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm. Occasional overtime on Fridays and/or Saturdays

Interkal is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general facility maintenance and minor repairs throughout our manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and can complete a variety of basic maintenance tasks independently. The Maintenance Technician will assist with routine building maintenance, minor equipment repairs, moving materials and equipment, and supporting day-to-day facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic building repairs, including drywall patching, painting, and general upkeep.
  • Complete minor mechanical and electrical repairs under established procedures.
  • Replace light bulbs, switches, outlets, and other basic facility components as needed.
  • Assemble, install, and repair shelving, furniture, fixtures, and other facility equipment.
  • Move materials, equipment, furniture, and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain maintenance logs of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with tool operation, troubleshooting to identify issues, and common repair techniques

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in industrial maintenance is preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures.
