- Diagnose and inspect guest concerns per repair order notes
- Communicate with guests and team leads to determine the nature of mechanical problems through all means (inspections, test drives, advisor or customer statements)
- Perform any/all needed repairs and work as outlined on repair orders from team leads with efficiency & accuracy
- Collaborate with all service and parts teams to understand needs & provide expert service and advice for guests and dealership vehicles
- Take initiative to work with service/shop teammates and manufacturer to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the process
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed
- Keep up‑to‑date with the latest mechanical techniques through ongoing training and professional development
- Provide excellent customer service to dealership teammates and dealership guests
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Obtain and/or maintain ASE Certification
- High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job‑related coursework completed
- Teamwork approach and can‑do attitude
- Your own repair tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced dealership environment independently, working with multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Ability to interpret installation instructions, diagrams and schematics to ensure accuracy and precision
- Strong technical skills and intense desire to learn
- Communication skills and a professional demeanor as there may be times when guests need instruction and information
- Sense of humor and motivation to learn and succeed with a team
