Job Brief

Bering‑Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Custodian to support services at the Haleakalā National Park Summit District in Maui, Hawai'i.

• Provide custodial services to the Haleakalā National Park Summit District which include two visitor centers, several administrative offices, one campground, and multiple Trailheads.
• Services include, but are not limited to:
  • Basic cleaning services
    • Remove trash and recycling
    • Mirrors
    • Drinking fountains
    • General spot cleaning/disinfecting
    • General dusting
  • Restroom disinfecting
    • Clean and disinfect
    • Descale toilets and urinals
    • Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors
    • Stock restroom supplies
    • Graffiti removal
    • Needed repairs
    • Clogged/blocked toilets
  • Emergency cleaning services
  • Assistance with special events
  • Periodic deep cleaning
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Two years of custodial work experience
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks within schedules while maintaining quality standards
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Attention to detail to ensure facilities are well‑maintained and presentable
• Ability to use small and portable hand and power tools
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to pass a federal background check
