Position Summary
This full‑time Environmental Services Technician position is located at 11909 Atrium Health Cabarrus – Environmental Services:
Kannapolis. The role focuses on maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and visitors.

Hours per week: 40
Schedule:
1st shift 7:00‑3:30 pm, 2nd shift 3:00‑11:30 pm, 3rd shift 11:00 pm‑7:30 am; rotating weekends and shifts.
Pay range: $18.85 – $28.30 per hour.
Position Highlights- Starting pay: $18.85 per hour.
- $750 sign‑on bonus at 90 days and 1 year of employment.
- Eligible for up to $5,250 yearly tuition assistance.
- Education:
Earn a high‑school diploma or take ESL classes with no out‑of‑pocket expense through our online high school. - Wellness incentives:

- Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures.
- Sweep, scrub, and refinish floors.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpet.
- Restock restrooms.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Report repairs and mandatory maintenance issues.
- Assist with outdoor cleaning such as parking lots, windows, and roof; use ladders as needed.
- Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, floor strippers, and finishes safely.
- Collect and transport soiled linen; empty trash containers; change sharps containers; transport hazardous waste to compactors; recycle materials; empty cigarette receptacles.
- Keep equipment clean and orderly; report equipment failures to maintenance staff.
- Maintain a safe working environment; comply with procedures, infection‑control guidelines, and departmental quality standards.
- Attend required in‑service education and training, including safety updates.
- Demonstrate ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
- Repetitive work following set procedures.
- Fast‑paced and stressful conditions.
- Work in contaminated, isolation, construction, and renovation areas.
- Occasional work in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant musts.
- Exposure to individuals with various mental, physical, and health conditions.
- Preferred:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. - Preferred:
One year of experience. - Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work on time.
- Ability to operate equipment safely.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
