ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job duties may vary based on business needs but may result in generating, handling, and/or inspection of hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage. This can include responding to or managing hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site's emergency action or contingency plan. These duties include preparing and managing hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
Help maintain a neat and orderly plant appearance.
Assist maintenance and production departments in cleaning and painting of plant areas.
Drive Company vehicles to retrieve parts and supplies from local vendors.
Prepare drums and packaging materials.
Assist other personnel in emergency conditions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience; and one to three months related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid drivers license.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONSAbility to operate forklift truck and other mechanical equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside-weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
