Prepared Foods Division – Maintenance Supervisor
Shift: 2nd Shift (United States of America)
Schedule: Similar to a 2–2–3, work every other weekend.
Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM/end of shift (flexible as needed). Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays.
As a Maintenance Supervisor
, you will oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, leading and directing maintenance technicians. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to implement maintenance policies and procedures while ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Ensure work orders are assigned correctly and completed on time while tracking and assessing individual associates’ workload.
- Train Maintenance Associates on the PM Program, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate expectations to Maintenance Associates regarding teamwork, attitude, and work performance, continually assessing individual performance.
- Maintain and update Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out documentation.
- Ensure all GMP, HACCP, PSM Program, company policies, and safety programs are followed by the department at all times.
- Continuously audit and validate all departmental procedures, revising when necessary.
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of all equipment and components throughout the facility, as well as all utility systems.
- Complete and maintain all required reports.
- Oversee parts inventory for the department, working closely with the Supply Lead person to issue parts with work orders to the proper shifts and associates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Lead.
- Experience directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians preferred.
Communication
Skills:
- Proficient in verbal communication, with the ability to listen, understand, and articulate ideas effectively.
- Strong written communication skills for clear expression and comprehension of ideas and concepts.
Computer
Skills:
- Basic PLC experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to work weekends as needed.
