Position OverviewThe Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and plant support equipment, as well as loading and unloading bulk materials.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Starting Pay: $25+/hour, based on experience
- Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including buildings and grounds.
- Perform inspections and routine maintenance on plant support equipment, such as boilers, air compressors, dryers, and water treatment systems.
- Conduct all life‑safety inspections and repairs, including fire suppression systems, ladders, exit lights, and eyewash stations.
- Unload and handle incoming bulk materials as they arrive from rail and truck shipments.
- Inspect and maintain all bulk storage and distribution systems to ensure proper operation.
- Support both facility and production‑related projects as needed.
- Assist production teams when additional support is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in facility maintenance or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to comply with all workplace safety requirements.
- Low sensitivity to a highly fragranced work environment.
- Physical activities include standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to moving machinery.
- Work conditions may involve marked changes in temperature and humidity.
