Independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural, application, and turf equipment. Diagnosis and repair will be performed in the field a majority of the time as this is a mobile technician position.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, application, and turf equipment as well as established Agriculture Management Solution (AMS) products
- Participate in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Review and explain any maintenance, repairs, or other service concerns directly with the customer and/or document on work order
- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Account for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties
- Mentor Service Technician Trainees
- Conduct and/or support customer clinics
- Experience performing service repairs on Large Agriculture, Sprayers, and Turf Equipment
- Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural, application, and turf equipment
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and have excellent organization skills
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Advanced Service Technician Certification preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required;
Associate’s degree preferred - Valid driver’s license required along with a good driving record
- Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
- Forklift license preferred
- Must have reliable attendance

Pay InformationThe hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $50. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
Work HoursIn Season
Hours:
Monday-Fri 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-12pm OR 7am-3pm (rotation determined by store). In Season Hours may be extended during peak seasons (planting, harvest, or any other peak selling season) to meet the needs of the store. Extended Hours are determined by the needs of the store and subject to change. Off Season Hours are from November-March. Start and end date to winter hours is dependent on year and subject to change.
