Assistant Maintenance Director
USD #244 is looking for an energetic team member to be a full-time Assistant Maintenance Director. This will be a 12-month position with benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the Maintenance Director in the maintenance and operations of all school buildings to attain a
condition best suitable for the health and safety of students and faculty.
2. Completes repairs as assigned.
3. Completes maintenance tasks as assigned.
4. Promote a caring, helping attitude toward staff, students, and patrons, and convey that attitude in all
that he/she does.
5. Observe and follow school district guidelines at all times.
6. Communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and
community.
7. React to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner meeting deadlines as
assigned.
8. Maintain a positive work attitude and show enthusiasm for work.
9. Operate all equipment and machinery appropriately as required.
10. Work to implement the vision and mission of the district.
11. Respond to information requests ina cooperative, courteous, and timely manner.
12. Keep student and personnel information and records confidential.
13. Implement and follow all health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne
Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
14. Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
1. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials, a
maximum of 60 pounds.
2. Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching.
3. Requires climbing and balancing.
4. Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
5. Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
6. Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
