Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, directing and planning by maintenance strategies to achieve facility goals. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of Amber Wave.
Primary
Work Shift:
Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM. Works shift as assigned and overtime as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In the absence of this role or any incumbent, the immediate supervisor/manager identified in the organization chart assumes responsibility for all duties and delegation of authority.
Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
Lead maintenance staff in all areas of food safety regarding GMP's HACCP and sanitation.
Lead maintenance staff in all areas of personnel safety with regards to all OSHA and NFPA regulations (Use Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Program for reference).
Hire, train and evaluate through continuous improvement and training to maintain a productive and competent maintenance workforce.
Supervise maintenance PM's, planning, project management and emergency break downs.
Use maintenance software to maintain and set goals for plant projects, preventative, and predictive maintenance; track on time PM completion rates and develop PM's.
Lead company in maintenance improvements.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Keep inventory on supplies and equipment needed to maintain many departments.
Improve plant systems through the use of automation, electronics, and other new technologies.
Supporting other activities and projects as assigned or dictated by business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for the supervision and management of all maintenance staff. Responsible for supervision of outside contractors that assist with building and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a Maintenance related field preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a maintenance related leadership position preferred.
Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job while wearing a respirator.
Ability to effectively prioritize and organize tasks and follow through to ensure completion of assignments in an efficient and high-quality manner.
Ability to maintain predictive maintenance of plant equipment through, the use of maintenance connection or similar computer-based program including the management of inventory.
Ability to input and analyze data into maintenance connection to track department work.
Ability to facilitate budgetary guidelines, reduce cost and enhance inventory systems.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.
