Maintenance Technician
This is a 12-month full-time position, 40 hour a week position. Salary determined by experience and current salary schedule. The hourly base pay is $18.30.
Purpose Statement:
To perform general and preventative maintenance to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
Responsibilities include:
working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to impact the Organization's services.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 70% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under some hazardous conditions. Work may be in any and all weather/temperatures and lighting conditions that require a job to be performed.
May be required to wear protective equipment for exposure control under limited circumstances.
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and comprehend written and oral instructions. Must be a licensed driver in the state of Kansas - CDL a plus.
Experience:
Experience in maintenance profession preferred.
